Thirteen

While today Chef turns thirteen, it's felt like he's been a teen for a while. Sophisticated sense of humor and palate, sometimes profound, and an empathy that usually isn't seen in a kid.

Still, some of the moodiness one would expect from a teen has come into play in the past few months, making us realize that while you're an old soul, you're still a kid.

I can't imagine life without you, Chef. Some days, you know just what to say to lighten the mood, to make us laugh hysterically, or come up with some fantastic dinner idea. Happy Birthday, kiddo.
