Some Things You Just Have to Do


It is designed for the original iPad, so it needs some minor modifications. However, nothing that a dremel can't remedy in a few spots.

Of course, I had to go out there and find an Etch a Sketch application to use on it. Currently synching 'the Ring of Sauron' to add that utility...

Unna Boot from Hell...

Another 1am entry. This is getting so freakin old. I would love nothing more than to have a normal health issue with normal treatment and no complications. However, this is me we're talking about, so things will NEVER be that way.

To whit:
I had my follow up with Dr. J yesterday morning to have the Unna boot reapplied after he looked at the progress with my wounds. Unfortunately, he did not get to see them immediately after the first boot was taken off-they were dry and looked good. The six days in the boot made them noticeably shallower. Dr. K's nurse dressed the wounds in Xeroform, a moist dressing I'd been using. It made the wounds look 'soupy', as Dr. J so aptly described it.

Fortunately, he listened to my description of what my ankle looked like upon removal of the boot. We discussed the visit with Dr. K and decided to go with another Unna Boot, with a change in two weeks. It was also decided that I'd be given dressings to reapply them myself (with s…

Glad that I'm not "Guilty By Association" on this one

I thought I was done with the DISboards stuff, really I did.

However, the hypocricy and racism displayed by Webmaster Pete and others on a memorial show is deplorable. Sadly, all it does is show that the man who died is the only one who has some scruples among the staff.

I'm awaiting some You Tube links to the entire unedited podcast and then an edited link to just the racism portion. In the meantime, I'm posting the transcript of the 'tribute' to Bob. These were transcribed by a former DISer for me. Thanks.

After closing the bar (yippee!) on Saturday night, you would think that I’d be tired and ready for sleep soon after arriving back at Donna’s place.Nope, I ended up staying awake until 4am.She, on the other hand, was quite tipsy after three drinks and retired to bed soon after coming home.Donna woke me up at 10am, the time we originally planned to depart for the shuttle to the Jags game.Oops!While she ran for some coffee, I got ready and off to the shuttle we went.The stadium apparently has extremely limited parking.So, JTA (Jax Transit Authority) has shuttles to the stadium for ten bucks a head.When you consider that parking is 20 bucks and there was no guarantee that we’d find handicapped spots, it made more sense.Once we got off the shuttle, it made even more sense.What a madhouse!The last football game I attended was in 1986.Ed, the ex and I all worked for Hess gas stations and Leon Hess, in an unusual bit of generosity, gave each of the surrounding metro area stations complimentar…
