No pictures...yet. The reason for that is in house cleaning today, I misplaced the USB cord that attaches to my phone. This brings us to part two of What's For Dinner Wednesday. We had company. Joyce, Tim and the littlies (to use an aussie term) were here for the day, as a break from their WDW vacation. They kindly took us out to dinner. Now, I thought that I'd posted pictures of a meal out for WFDW previously, but Joyce was convinced I hadn't. We even looked through the WFDW tagged posts and did not find any pictures of meals I hadn't cooked. There ARE pictures of meals that were enjoyed while dining out, though none of those are posted on a Wednesday. Today's post is the first where someone else made the Wednesday meal. I thought of my blog buddy Sarah when I saw this one, but it's too good not to share here. I don't think I'll hear Evenflow the same way ever again! As an aside, I've tried to upload this one to the blog six times. It hasn't wanted to come peacefully, so I had to beat it into submission. Much like you do wayward children!

In this house, Tron is a revered movie. It is on right now, as Gameboy adores it. We've got two copies of the DVD, the software, the soundtrack and I even snagged a couple of the orignal Kodaliths off of eBay a few years back. If I could get my hands on a Tron arcade style video game, trust me, I would have one. The movie is the ground breaker in computer animation, with several of the Pixar pioneers working on several scenes. Sure, the casual filmgoer probably will yawn at how some of this movie is dated, but we look at it as a time capsule of what life was like before we had computers in nearly every home, before the Internet changed the way we live. Each of the actors played two roles: the one in the real world and another in the computer world. Jeff Bridges has said that his "Starman" character was based in part on his computer character, Clu. There are many legends of the weird on the Island that is Long. For years, my peers would joke about the three headed babies that would occur if Shoreham nuclear facility ever went online. Later, as my abilities to travel further occurred and a few family trips to the North Fork transpired, stories more fanciful and outrageous were heard. That ferry over to Plum Island ? Did you know they do genetic experiments over there? I heard that at least a half dozen times in trips to Riverhead, Greenport and Montauk. My thinking was that because access to the island was restricted, overactive imaginations made the place out to be more than it really was. Years later, a favorite author, also from Long Island, fueled the mystery of Plum Island with a book of the same name.
