Cinnabon Cupcakes-and a Giveaway!!!

Image
I have a confession to make. I absolutely LOVE Cinnabons. When I was pregnant with Game Teen, the store I managed was in the center court of the mall, with the Cinnabon just across from us. The smell was intoxicating-but the mall talk system would torture me with the commercials about the 'Fresh Makarah Cinnamon' several times per hour. It was a rare day I didn't get a Minibon and a milk as a snack. (I am convinced this has something to do with Game Teen's love of cinnamon.) You know a company has a quality product when they've been feeding us those tasty treats for twenty five years. Never one to sit on their laurels, Cinnabon got together with the creator of their little bit of cinnamon heaven and created something new: This month, your local Cinnabon will be introducing cupcakes that are moist, delicious and sure to be just as addicting as those Minibons were for me years ago! There are four flavors, baked fresh daily and ready for you to enjoy on the spot....

Wal Mart Your Zone $500.00 Gift Card Contest!

Image
Note to new visitors-this contest has ended. Thank you. For several months now, I have participated in WalMart 's Beyond Eleven Moms, a collective of bloggers who partner with WalMart to give feedback on products already in stores and ideas about products that the company can offer in their stores. Last month, I was approached to help test out a new product line in the stores. Many retailers offer room decor for youngsters and college students, but affordable furniture, bedding and decor for teens was hard to find. Enter Your Zone ! We were sent a $500.00 WalMart gift card and given a mission: redo a bedroom whatever way you like within that amount for your teen. If you asked me to do it anywhere else, I think I could buy a bed and a dresser and be done. The whole point of Your Zone is that your teen can change things without breaking the bank. First up, let's find a bed! The beds the boys have are the bunk beds we bought at Ikea back when Chef graduated out of a crib. ...

Shhh, Don't Tell My Husband, But There's Someone New In My Life

And I've got a picture. It's not the best, but you understand this, right? You have to be sneaky and coy when you're married, but are falling for another... To be honest, I think Ed's in love with the Keurig already. Two cups of Kona and coveting more? It's a safe bet that the mac daddy coffee machine he scoffed at back in January as a frivolous waste is rapidly taking his heart, too. Let's see, so far we've tried: Coffee People Donut Shop Coffee -tastes like Krispy Krack's. I want more and can't wait to try their Xtra Bold K cups that we've got. Tully's Kona Coffee . Smooth. Definitely buying this one! Celestial Seasoning's Mandarin Orange Spice Tea -I made Chef a cup of Iced Tea with it and he loved it. Van Houtte's French Vanilla . Yum! (that is all...) Gloria Jean's Hazelnut . Ed loved it and I think he's psyched that he's got a box of it that is all his (I like hazelnuts, just not in my coffee) Green Mount...

Woohoo!

The winning streak continues. For the past month, I've been entering Kim at What's That Smell's giveaway for this: It's the same coffee pot that I saw on someone else's blog and went over to MomDot to try to win it. It's the coffee pot that will end the science experiments that good old Mr. Coffee has had to endure for the past few years since I decided I like coffee. (but not enough to drink an entire pot) I went nuts on Kim's contest. She offered extra entries to blog, so I did. Each day, you could list five K cups that you want to try. You name it, if I could do it for an entry, I did. 171 times. The rules stated you could not repeat a K cup flavor, and there are a lot of them, so I started a spreadsheet, which is why I knew the number of times I did it. A lot of people entered that contest. There were almost 3700 entries, which means I had almost 5% of them. So statistically, I had a 1 in 20 chance of winning the thing, but Murphy tends to a...

Label Daddy BlogHer 09 Contest

Are you a blogger? Do you have mom blogs , humor blogs, any kind of blog and want to go to BlogHer ? It's the event of the year in the blogging world, mixing and mingling with others who 'get' the idea of blogging and learning about how to become a better blogger. I want to go, but if you add up the ticket, the airfare and the hotel, for 3 nights, it'd cost me $1000 bucks (and that's if I get a buddy pass from my 'sorta sister') Enter Label Daddy ! Scott and Greg, the Daddies behind this company, truly believe in the power of blogging. They are wise men, seeing that the blogging world is much like our world was prior to radio, tvs and technology in that we reach out to small groups of people we know. We learn about things and share what we know, especially when it's a product we love. For that reason, they just announced the Label Daddy BlogHer 09Contest ! They believe in the power of blogging SO much that they will sponsor one lucky person's...
